Lynda Darby is a lifelong member of the Shoals community and a proud graduate of Coffee High School. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Biology from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln.
Lynda has built a successful career with Bank Independent, where her work has centered on developing relationships and serving the community. She is also deeply involved throughout the Shoals, giving her time and leadership through service on several community boards.
Lynda and her husband, Elton Darby, Jr., have been married for 38 years and have three children: Elton Darby III and his wife, Anne, parents of Gray, age 3, and Junie, 18 months; Elle Darby McCoy and her husband, Andrew; and Landers Darby and his wife, Hailey.
Family, community, and service are important parts of Lynda’s life, and her commitment to building relationships and giving back has made her a valued presence in the Shoals community.
