Children naturally possess a curiosity and eagerness to learn about the world around them. In this room, geared to toddlers and kindergarten, young children are encouraged to participate in activities that promote creativity and cooperative play. Parents or caregivers are encouraged to help children learn appropriate social skills such as good manners, playing cooperatively, giving and accepting help, sharing, and respecting others. Developmentally appropriate toys such as trains, train tracks, planes, cars, tractors, farm sets, and puzzles will also help children learn about transportation, farms, and our community.
