Exhibits

Something amazing is happening at the Children’s Museum of the Shoals!

Thanks to the incredible support of our community, every exhibit throughout the museum has been refreshed, renovated, or enhanced to create even more opportunities for children to learn through hands-on discovery. From vibrant new murals and immersive learning spaces to exciting interactive experiences, the museum has been transformed into a place where curiosity and imagination come to life.

One of our newest exhibits celebrates Alabama’s rich agricultural heritage. Featuring a beautifully restored 1959 John Deere tractor generously donated by the Walker family and Walker Ranch, along with a custom-built learning barn, this interactive space invites children to explore where food comes from and discover the important role agriculture plays in our everyday lives. Through play, exploration, and imagination, children will experience the journey from field to table in a fun and meaningful way.

We’re also putting the finishing touches on our CMS Train Room, with just a few final details remaining, and we have even more exciting exhibit enhancements still to come. Every visit offers something new to discover!

The Children’s Museum of the Shoals is completely community-funded, and none of this would be possible without the generosity of our sponsors, donors, foundations, businesses, volunteers, and friends. Your investment is creating unforgettable learning experiences for thousands of children and families across the Shoals.

From all of us at the Children’s Museum of the Shoals, thank you for believing in our mission and helping us build a place where children can learn, explore, imagine, and dream. We can’t wait to welcome you through our doors to experience all that’s new!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our sponsors, donors, and community partners, the Children’s Museum of the Shoals now features more than 20 newly renovated exhibit spaces designed to spark curiosity and inspire discovery through hands-on, interactive play. Bring your child to a place where imagination comes to life, creativity is encouraged, and learning is an adventure around every corner!
