Something special is growing at the Children’s Museum of the Shoals!
We’re excited to share a new hands-on learning space taking shape—one that helps children understand where food comes from and honors Alabama’s rich agricultural roots.
With a donated tractor from Walker Ranch, a 1959 John Deere tractor to be specific, and a barn built just for little learners—now almost complete—this exhibit invites kids to explore farming through play, curiosity, and imagination, connecting the journey from field to table in a way they can see, touch, and understand.
This space is designed to spark questions, encourage discovery, and celebrate the role agriculture plays in our everyday lives and in our state. The exhibit will be opening in just a few short weeks, and we can’t wait to welcome families in to experience it together. 🌱
Stay tuned for the opening of the exhibit! A HUGE THANK YOU to James Walker and Tina Walker Moore for making this dream come to fruition! Y’all are the BEST!
